Jockey Cap

Jockey Cap is a small hill that looks over the town of Fryeburg. If you run up, it takes five minutes, but you will be out of breath. One side has a ledge cliff and there is a monument on top.

The Moats are in the background and North Conway, New Hampshire is in the next valley closer, but not visible. Sherman Farms in East Conway, New Hampshire is visible to the left.

Since Karin liked the maple on Moose Pond, here it is again a few days later.

These photos hardly do it justice, but I'll have to get back to Acadia soon.

Cobscook Bay State Park is this hidden gem of a campground Downeast -- if you like privacy, isolation, shaded trees, and the sea.

How many campgrounds have sites that have a footbridge to them?

The next hidden spot we visited was near Cutler. But I don't know that I'll tell you where. The distant hurricanes must have brought the offshore clouds and the pounding surf.
