Livermore

A deserted town site, moose, apples, snow? All along a gravel road in the White Mountains.

Then the town site:

The old bank vault in a cellar hole.

Then the old mill.

Sawyer River.

I smelled them before I noticed them underfoot.

Then further up the road.

A little snow.

And only moose tracks unfortunately.

We'll be back again.

I've not seen our indigo buntings yet, but I did hear a scarlet tanager while cycling last night. It has been really hot the past few days and we are wishing for more seasonal temperatures. Yes indeed, summer-like.

I have a calendar titled "Country Roads"; those lovely road photos would fit in well. Lately I've been using my camera more often, but Courtney and the younger two take many more pictures than I do. Recently they snapped a few of an indigo bunting. It's so summery out all of a sudden; photo opportunities abound! :-)
