Now it is on to Milan, New Hampshire. It is colder in northern New Hampshire than south of the notches. This time in Milan we'll just visit Milan Hill State Park with its fire tower and Cedar Pond.

To the south in the distance are the Presidentials. I was told that the ice was a foot thick on this pond.

Next are some views from the fire tower.

One of the Nansen Ski Club trails in Milan Hill State Park. It was cold, but there was not enough snow for serious trail grooming.

Yes, I wish I had my skiis. It was quite cold though, especially whilst changing the lenses up on the fire tower.
