Some of my travels paralleled Route 66 or actually involved driving on it. In Cuba, Missouri there was the Wagon Wheel Motel and murals.

There was the giant rocking chair west of Cuba.

Just west of Wellston, Oklahoma on an old part of Route 66 is this old iron bridge. A Route 66 guide book pointed out the bridge, but it is very easy to miss. In the upper right are the blooms of a mimosa tree.

And ruins of an old gas station between Luther, OK and Arcadia, replete with flowers in the window box.

Back in Arcadia, Oklahoma is the restored Round Barn.
