May I quote Mr. Charles M. Schulz?

"[Charlie Brown speaking] 'And I conclude my report by offering this suggestion...' 'As soon as a child is born, he or she should be issued a dog and a banjo..' 'Ma'am? That's right.. a family of eight.. eight dogs and eight banjos..' 'Yes, ma'am .. we're talking happiness here!'"

This is from a clipping that may (or may not) be found here.

Is there such a thing as too much happiness:

Friends (you may ask if real friends would do such a thing) brought me to the Banjo Museum in OKC. Can you imagine? Indulge me for this post at least, if you would.

Mr. Scruggs, of course.

Two different types of D-tuners.

A 5th-string capo.

An opening back resonator for adjusting volume. Yes, I know, don't say it.

The very valuable Gibson.

A Gibson Florentine amongst the highly ornate styles.

I would call it a banjo-laika.

Pete Seeger-style long-necks

The workshop?

A beautiful current ornate model.

Thanks for your patience, I might have it out of my system now. They do have a shop and even a couple of lower-end Deerings for the public to try in the front. It has been years, so my attempts were not for public consumption.

All photos taken with the Fuji XF-1, often through plexiglass display cases.
