We have had to go a little further afield for evening hikes. This time it is Sabattus Mountain in Center Lovell. You see our leaves are starting to come out. The blackflies are too; I had to wave them away from the front of the lens sometimes.
When I crouched down to take the photo of this mayflower I smelled the aroma of all the flowers along this stretch of trail.
The view from the cliff at the top. There is Pleasant Mountain in the background beyond the hills of Sweden.
Kezar Lake and Mount Washington
Blueberry flowers, a summer promise
Fields of Sweden and Highland Lake in Bridgton in the distance
The old firetower piers
There were no trillium along the trail, but these were along the road near the trailhead.

All photos except this last one taken with the Fuji X-E1. It really goes through the batteries.
