Road trip #2

Finally I have been able to return to Gettysburg. It seems to be such a solemn place. All the lives lost. You can see it was still early spring. The peach trees in the Peach Grove were just starting to blossom.

A pair of bluebirds were in the closer tree. They are easily visible in the full-resolution image.

The tower on Little Round Top and views from the tower. In the photo of the tower, you can see the redbud in the center below the tower.

The next day I was headed south again.

Pennsylvania farmland.

The hand pump in the front yard is just above the "M". The sheds for the horses surround the building.

There was only time for a quick view at the visitor's center at Antietam. It would have been nice to see more, but someone was waiting further south.

Next, Skyline Drive.
